A Day in the Life: Clopedia’s Journey as a Front-End Developer at Onja

Growing up in Andromba, a small town in the Ambatondrazaka District, Clopedia never imagined she’d one day be creating websites and applications for companies around the world. But at Onja, hard work and determination open doors, and Clopedia’s journey is proof of that.

Morning Routines

Every morning starts the same way. A cup of hot water in hand, Clopedia heads upstairs, picks up her laptop, and sets up her workspace. Before jumping into code, she checks Slack and LinkedIn for messages, reviews her calendar, and organizes her tasks on Jira. This simple but effective routine keeps her day structured and productive.

Work

As a front-end developer, Clopedia designs and builds smooth, user-friendly websites and applications. She spends her time writing code, fixing issues, and making sure everything looks and works just right. Her core tech stack includes:

  • React
  • Styled-components
  • Material UI

Beyond the front-end, she collaborates with backend teams who are using Python, Java, and Node.js. Lately, she’s been tackling a new challenge— Contributing to an internal Angular based project, expanding her skill set even further.

Teamwork & Communication

Twice a day, Clopedia and her team hold stand-up meetings to discuss progress, troubleshoot challenges, and align on next steps. These quick check-ins keep everyone on track and supported, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across the team.

Balance

At noon, Clopedia takes a break to eat lunch at home with her son. It’s a simple but meaningful part of her day, a reminder of why she pushes herself to grow and succeed. After a short reset, she’s back at her desk, ready to tackle the rest of the day.

Wrapping Up

As the day comes to an end, Clopedia follows her usual routine: disconnecting from the VPN, and suspending her computer, so everything is ready for tomorrow.

More Than Just a Job

Ask Clopedia what she values most about Onja, and she doesn’t hesitate—the people. It’s a place where collaboration thrives, where support is always available, and where growth is encouraged.

For Clopedia, Onja isn’t just a workplace. It’s a launchpad for her career, a community of, and not just for herself, but for those who come after her. If you’re looking for skilled developers or want to be part of something transformative, Onja is a name to remember.
